The year was 2000. A serious car accident left me with a c4, c5 incomplete spinal cord injury. Progressed from a wheelchair to a single cane in 3 years. Finding a cane that would support me was a difficult task.

I've tried many canes over the years. They just didn't feel like they could handle any weight. I've slipped many times with other canes at shopping malls and grocery stores and even on pavement. Never was able to use a cane without getting a rash and even sometimes cramping my hand from the handle.

By an involuntary visit to a health clinic I noticed the Airgo. Great design with a huge tip. Handle was gummy-like with a bulge of extra plastic. I picked up this space type cane and WOW I felt different.

I walked around the health clinic in speeds I didn't know existed. I felt so supported. It was like the cane was a part of my body. The huge bottom grabbed the floor with each step. My hand was comfortably supported by the handle. This was the cane that I've been searching for.

Through snow, rain, shopping malls, grocery stores and where ever else I've gone, never did I slip or fall because of this cane.
